When I read a book I salivate over the romantic parts. I smile, feel my cheeks blush, and usually let out a weighty sigh. Think about the most romantic line you have ever read or written. Didn't you just experience all of the above?

My favorite moments are the ones we least expect, as do the characters. Lengthy glances, light touching of skin upon skin, stuttering or complete loss of speech, and the utter beauty of hesitation. That breath before a kiss, the pause before an embrace, that stare before...well you know.

All of what I have described above I've found in books of varying genre; literary, mystery, women's fiction, commercial, historical and paranormal.

Love is in every story.

The stories we've read and have yet to read.

The stories we've written and have yet to write.

Here we can share the journey together, celebrating love, one novel at a time.

One of my favorite romantic lines in all of literature comes from Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook.

"I am no one special, just a common man with common thoughts. I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me, and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect, I've succeeded as gloriously as anyone who ever lived. I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and for me, that has always been enough."

Sigh and swoon my friends. Sigh. And. Swoon.

Please, share your favorite lines from a book you've read or written.

Happy writing,
